Current responsibilities/work history

Austin Kelly, PE, MEng, is an electrical engineer and manager of TECO’s information technology department. He is responsible for providing design and support for all plant electrical systems, developing and managing capital projects, and overseeing the maintenance and operation of all information technology systems and software packages.

He started with TECO as an intern, then came on as a full-time project engineer upon graduation from college. He added security supervisor to his role in 2013, coordinating security cameras and initiating a visitor badge program. He also spearheaded the installation of 9.2 miles of fiber optic cable to gather data from customer meters.
