Job Title: Mechanic III

TECO is looking for one High-Level Mechanic III to perform maintenance and inspection of boilers, chillers, air handlers, building and auxiliary equipment such as pumps, motors, gears, steam turbines and compressors. A knowledge of diesel engines is preferred. Must be able to dismantle a horizontal split line pump (5 to 20,000 GPM), check dimensions, suggest repairs and then re-assemble. Must have a valid TDL and be insurable; the ability to use common tools used in plant environment and identify industrial supplies.  7 to 10 years related experience plus high school diploma or GED required.  Must be dependable, a good communicator, and have strong interpersonal skills. Physical requirements: ability to climb stairs, lift and/or move up to 100lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
