TECO Honors Paul G. Bell, Jr. by Renaming Central Plant

TECO's Board of Directors renamed the company's Central Plant the Paul G. Bell, Jr. Energy Plant to honor his 40 years of service. Located at 1615 Braeswood Blvd., the plant is the heart of the company's district energy and CHP system.

Bell provided invaluable leadership as Chairman of the Compensation Committee, member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Board for the past 14 years.

The Board passed a resolution citing that Bell is a person of "great wisdom and integrity, who is highly esteemed by fellow Board members and Thermal Energy Corporation's employees." Former Texas Medical Center CEO Richard Wainerdi, TECO Vice Chairman Don DeWalch, TECO President and CEO Steve Swinson and current Chairman Brad Howell (far right) presented Mr. Bell with an honorary plaque to mark the occasion at his home in April 2014.

TECO is grateful for his contributions to the growth and vitality of the district energy and CHP system that serve the Texas Medical Center today.
