Current responsibilities and work history

Clarissa Brewster, CPP, is TECO’s vice president of human resources, serving as the company’s chief recruiter. She works with department heads to determine their staffing needs, post the positions, interview candidates, make the offers and bring new team members on board.

She is responsible for compensation and full administration of all employee benefits, plus handles payroll processing, quarterly and year-end payroll tax reporting, and annual general liability and workers’ compensation audits.

Clarissa has held numerous positions within the company since coming on board as receptionist in 1991. She worked her way up through accounting to become financial operations accountant, a position she held for three years before moving to the human resources department.
