Current responsibilities and work history

Jose Garcia, PE, CEM, is TECO’s operations manager and is responsible for the safe and reliable production of steam and chilled-water service to our customers on the Texas Medical Center campus. He oversees more than 120,170 tons of chilled-water capacity; 890,000 lb/hr of steam generating capacity; a state-of-the-art process control system; and the company’s 48 MW combined heat and power plant.

Jose was previously a senior operations engineer and a senior project engineer at TECO.

Before starting at TECO, Jose was a performance contract engineer and audit manager for Honeywell Building Solutions SES (formerly Sempra Energy Solutions) where he managed energy audits and developed energy conservation solutions for federal, institutional, industrial and private facilities.
