Current responsibilities and work history

Kimberla Lawson, CPA, is TECO’s vice president of finance, serving as business partner and finance lead as well as overseeing treasury management, financial planning and budgeting, accounting and auditing, and procurement. She also attends and reports at Board of Directors and finance committee meetings.

Kimberla is a highly accomplished senior accounting and financial management executive with more than 20 years of progressive experience and responsibility in the finance and accounting industry. 

Her previous experience ranges from private companies to publicly traded, global multi-billion-dollar organizations, and includes work both in the U.S. and abroad. Kimberla began her career in public accounting with KPMG, going on to grow her resume with organizations such as Smith International, TechnipFMC, and Apache Industrial Services. With such roles as director of financial reporting and accounting research, accounting manager, vice president and financial controller, and CFO, to her credit, Kimberla brings a high level of thoughtful leadership and technical finance skills and knowledge to TECO.
