Current responsibilities and work history

Carolyn Luomala, CPA, MBA, is TECO’s vice president of finance, serving as business partner and finance lead and overseeing treasury management, financial planning and budgeting, accounting and audit, and procurement. She also attends and reports at board of directors and finance committee meetings.

Most recently Luomala was vice president of corporate accounting and controlling at TechnipFMC, which provides equipment and services for the energy industry. She directed all corporate accounting activities in Houston and Paris, including global IT finance and multiple accounting projects. Previously she worked on location in Scotland where she aligned global business services strategies and structures between recently merged UK-based legacy FMC Technologies and France- and India-based legacy Technip. Luomala first joined FMC in 2010.

From 2001 to 2010, Luomala was with General Electric, first at GE Power Systems, then GE Consumer Finance and GE Aero Energy.
