2019 System of the Year Award
The International District Energy Association awarded Thermal Energy Corporation its international 2019 System of the Year.
2018 District Energy Space Gold Awards for Most Square Footage, Most Buildings Committed/Recommitted in North America
The International District Energy Association presented Thermal Energy Corporation two gold awards in its 2018 District Energy Space competition in North America: one for growth and retention of 19 million sq ft of building space and one for growth and retention of 35 buildings.
2018 Turbine Inlet Cooling Association Excellence Award
The Turbine Inlet Cooling Association presented the award to TECO for its use of turbine inlet cooling, a technology that enhances generation capacity.
2015 EPA ENERGY STAR CHP Award
ENERGY STAR CHP Award bestowed at International District Energy Association conference in June 2015.
2013 ASHRAE Technology Award – Second Place

2011 First Place in New Industrial Facilities or Process at the Chapter
Regional and Society Levels for Thermal Energy Storage Tank, Technology Awards Program, American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) – Burns & McDonnell. Project recognized for unique simultaneous dual-direction pumping scheme that was necessitated by the tank’s height.
2009 Tank of the Year Award, Standpipe Category for Thermal Energy Storage Tank
Steel Tank Institute/Steel Plate Fabricators Association – CB&I. The company received the award for producing the world’s tallest thermal energy storage tank at a height of 153 ft with a capacity of 8.8 million gallons within a constrained site.
