Thermal Energy Corporation (TECO) currently has an opening for an Industrial Mechanic. The mechanic will perform preventative and corrective maintenance of boilers, chillers, air handlers, cooling towers, reciprocating engines, building and auxiliary equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, steam turbines and compressors.
Strong knowledge of large horsepower industrial equipment with verifiable experience troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment as well as performing root cause analysis for failures.
Knowledgeable about equipment lubrication and specifications. Experienced and fluent in the use of digital alignment and precision tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges). Must have a valid TDL and be insurable; the ability to use common tools used in a plant environment and identify industrial supplies. Ten years minimum directly related experience plus high school diploma or GED required. Must be dependable, a self-starter with ability to function at a high level, good communicator, basic computer skills, and have strong interpersonal skills.
Physical requirements: ability to climb stairs, lift and/or move up to 100lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. We perform drug screening and criminal background investigations.
CDL (Class B) preferred.
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems preferred.
Electrical system/component knowledge preferred.
GE LM6000 Aeroderivative gas turbine experience preferred.
