TECO Culture Recap - Spring and Summer 2025
TECO's 2025 has been active and fruitful. As we continue our mission of safely providing reliable thermal services to our customers in the Texas Medical Center, our events team has remained committed to establishing a solid and dynamic corporate culture. With events and festivities thoughtfully coordinated, we’ve stayed connected and engaged, reflecting our core values of respect, integrity, safety, and excellence.
The festivities kicked off in February with TECO’s annual awards banquet, celebrating employees who reached significant service milestones. This year, 21 employees were recognized for service ranging from five to 35 years. In alignment with our core value of safety, seven employees were honored with safety awards for their safety improvement suggestions. Later that month, the team came together for our rodeo-themed annual Go Texas Day luncheon.
In April, TECO received the Turbine Inlet Cooling Association (TICA) Excellence Award in recognition of our efforts in implementing gas turbine inlet cooling technology. That same month, our quarterly birthday celebrations continued, with employees gathering to commemorate the occasion.
In June, employees came together for our annual Independence Day celebration. It offered a chance to enjoy a meal and unwind with coworkers ahead of the holiday. Then, in July, employees attended the Houston Astros vs Texas Rangers baseball game for a team-building outing. It was a welcome chance to build teamwork and enjoy a classic Houston experience together outside of work.
We look forward to the rest of 2025 as we continue celebrating the people and values that drive TECO forward.
