Industry Features TECO’s Hurricane Harvey Story

Anyone who was living or working in Houston when Hurricane Harvey hit in August 2017 has a story to tell.

Thermal Energy Corporation shares its Harvey experience in the article “A story of preparedness and resolve” in the spring/summer 2019 issue of District Energy magazine, a publication of the International District Energy Association. TECO never lost chilled-water or steam service to its 20.7 million-sq-ft of customers on the campus of the Texas Medical Center at any time during the storm.

TECO is a long-time member of the International District Energy Association and a memer of IDEA’s Mutual Assistance for District Energy group. Although TECO didn’t need assistance during Hurricane Harvey, help was just a phone call away.
