TECO Employee Events - Fall 2022

With the last few weeks of 2022 upon us, it’s time to take a look back on TECO’s most recent employee events – a list which includes both thoughtful wellness efforts and fun, team-building celebrations which recognized some of fall’s favorite holidays.

On September 20th, TECO brought back an onsite Wellness Fair for the first time in many years. The event ran for a three-hour window, allowing employees to drop in as their work allowed. Flu vaccinations were available to anyone interested, and there was a wealth of educational information presented on such topics as personal fitness and how to make well-informed food choices. TECO team members were able to connect with representatives from TECO’s medical insurance provider and financial planning partner for insights and updates on employee plans and programs. Event planners were thrilled with the positive response from participants and are already making notes for future fairs.

September also marked the return of the ever-popular President’s Cook-off – the very first led by grill master Mike Manoucheri. With help from Sean Price, the duo manned a mega-sized grill for hours in order to serve lunch for nearly 100 people. Other team members stepped in to prepare an array of sides including mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese, homemade baked beans, as well as dessert. It can be guaranteed no one left work hungry that day.

The third quarter quickly rolled on, and TECO was celebrating all things Halloween with a special lunch event. Team members enjoyed a party-food-themed meal while being entertained with a Halloween presentation. There was a costume contest and of course, a little candy. On November 17, TECO hosted a traditional Thanksgiving meal for employees. The menu included both turkey and ham alongside an assortment of side dishes. Employees could get their lunches to-go if needed, but were encouraged to take the opportunity and enjoy a more relaxed meal while catching up with coworkers. After the last two years, this year’s luncheon marked a welcome return to more normal times.

No matter the season, TECO takes pride in ensuring employees know that their work is appreciated and creating moments which standout on the calendar.
